Lindsay Lohan is set to star with porn actor James Deen in The Canyons, according to the film’s writer Bret Easton Ellis.
The “contemporary thriller” revolves around “five twenty-somethings’ quest for power, love, sex and success in 2012 Hollywood.”
Late Monday, Ellis announced on Twitter, “James Deen and Lindsay Lohan will star in THE CANYONS,” adding that they’ll “be playing the parts of Christian and Tara.”
“Shooting THE CANYONS starring James Deen and Lindsay Lohan: July 9-31 in L.A.,” continued Ellis. “Could not have dreamed of a better cast. Lindsay nailed it…”
Ellis and director Paul Schrader have been raising money for the super low-budget project through Kickstarter.
A source close to the actress confirms to Gossip Cop that her involvement in The Canyons is “in the works.”
Lohan, who crashed her Porsche into a truck last week, is currently filming the Elizabeth Taylor biopic “Liz & Dick” for Lifetime.
