As thousands of lavishly dressed revelers partied into the night after the 138th running of the Kentucky Derby, 48 year old Adan Fabian Perez laid dead after an apparent struggle only a few feet from the Derby victor I'll Have Another's stable. Not much is known other than that Louisville homicide detectives are investigating surveillance tapes and interviewing the mostly transient, underpaid workforce of the Churchill Downs stables. The majority of those being questioned do not speak English and require an interpreter to give testimony only adding to the clouded nature of the investigation. Perez's body was discovered by his 19 year old son.
