The usually reliable TMZ bought into a bogus rumor on Monday, claiming that Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux have plans to wed this summer in Crete.
Gossip Cop first debunked the story earlier this month when it ran in the National Enquirer.
In the new version, TMZ cites sources connected with a certain hotel on the Mediterranean island who say Aniston supposedly “mentioned a July wedding” there.
The site then lists details of the venue’s “wedding package” — all of which is great publicity for the hotel, but COMPLETELY unrelated to any actual nuptials for Aniston and Theroux.
Again: There is no truth to the Crete wedding talk.
A rep for Aniston exclusively tells Gossip Cop it’s a “fabrication” that looks like a “placed ad for the hotel.”
