Lamar Odom, who was voluntarily going to play in a developmental league game before returning to the NBA’s Dallas Mavericks, ending up not heading to the D-League’s Texas Legends after all, and instead suited up with his team on Saturday night.

On Friday, a slew of lesser sites wrongly reported that Khloe Kardashian’s husband was being dropped by the Mavericks.

As Gossip Cop correctly noted, Odom was simply going to play a game with the Texas Legends – to get back into mental and physical shape after missing 10 games due to “family issues” — before the rejoining the Mavericks.

On Saturday, Odom helped his team beat the Utah Jazz, having posted nine points in 18 minutes, pulling down five rebounds, and blocking three shots.

After the game, Odom mentioned on ESPN that his absence since February 22 “was really personal and it was something I had to [do],” adding, “Mark Cuban is a great owner for understanding. Sometimes we have to fix whatever’s going on off the court in order for us to fix what’s going on on the court.”
