“Victoria’s Battle With Postpartum Depression,” reads a headline from Life & Style, which claims Victoria Beckham’s friends are worried “she’s suffering from the illness again.”
A so-called “insider” for the mag claims that ever since the designer gave birth to baby Harper in July, “She is not her normal self. The consensus among her friends is that it’s postpartum depression.”
Another of these so-called “pals” says, “Victoria is on her last legs,” explaining, “She’s not eating enough to get through the day. She’s overworked, exhausted and painfully thin.”
And the mom of four has also supposedly been “irritable” and “having mood swings,” claims Life & Style.
“She’s very snappy and has been making everyone’s life hell behind the scenes,” states an alleged fashion insider.
The tab further claims Beckham’s mental state is “taking its toll on her family life,” quoting one of these same sources as saying, “David’s had words with Victoria about taking some downtime… [he's] very worried about her.”
Hold on.
Beckham recently gave an interview with British OK! in which she revealed she had “some sort of postnatal depression” after the birth of her first son Brooklyn… 13 years ago.
Life & Style is simply playing up on her admission to fill its pages with some sort of drama, even if it means fabricating something as serious as postpartum depression.
Beckham even defended her sometimes weary-looking appearance, saying last month, “Look, if people want to say I’m miserable then so be it. I’m really not. I have a lot on my plate. I’m not going to lie about it, I’m tired. I’m really tired but I’m also very happy with my life. I’m basically just like any woman who’s working and has lots of children – it’s tough.”
In any case, a source close to Beckham tells Gossip Cop “It’s not true” that she’s suffering from postpartum depression.
