Christopher Chaney is expected to plead guilty to hacking the email accounts of Scarlett Johansson, Mila Kunis and other celebrities, facing up to 60 years in prison for his crimes.
According to documents filed in a Florida court on Thursday, Chaney has agreed to cop to nine felony counts, including unauthorized access to a computer and wiretapping.
The 35-year-old Jacksonville man was targeted by the FBI’s “Operation Hackerazzi” and arrested last October.
Explaining that his invasions had become “addictive,” Chaney hacked dozens of entertainment figures, including Johansson, whose private, nude photos wound up leaked to gossip sites.
In all, Chaney compromised more than 50 people’s private accounts between November 2010 and October 2011, according to the court documents.
He’s expected to plead guilty on Monday.
