BOX OFFICEChanning Tatum and Jonah Hill might have gone undercover, but they’re leaping over the rest of the box office pack.
21 Jump Street, in which the duo star as cops posing as high schoolers, is expected to win the weekend with approximately $35 million, placing it ahead of previous champ The Lorax ($27 million) and John Carter ($13 million).
A second high school-based movie, Project X, is on pace for $4.5 million and fourth place.
Then it’s a battle between military action flick Act of Valor and Eddie Murphy redemption comedy A Thousand Words, both of which are tracking toward roughly $3.5 million weekends.
The Top 10 wraps up with Safe House, The Vow, Silent House and Journey 2, all of which are projected to hit between $2 and $3 million.
