Stephen Colbert’s “The Colbert Report” will back on the air on Monday, a Comedy Central spokesman confirms to Gossip Cop.
The rep notes “original episodes” will begin airing with its “previously scheduled” guests, including House Minority Speaker Nancy Pelosi and opera legend Placido Domingo.
As Gossip Cop reported last week, “The Colbert Report” suspended its tapings because of an emergency in the star’s family.
While Comedy Central would not comment, it’s believed the hiatus was related to Colbert’s 91-year-old mom Lorna.
On Friday, Colbert tweeted, “My family and I would like to thank everyone who has offered their thoughts and prayers. We are grateful and touched by your concern.”
