What that phrase (which as I have mentioned, is often said by these people) means is that what the hot animal is on the Internet can vary quite dramatically from week to week and if you are not keeping abreast of these things in a very aggressive manner you could end up doing something unbelievably stupid and embarrassing like trying to post a baby panda bear on your Facebook when right now the only animal anyone wants to talk about is the sloth.
