Madonna is the victim of a death hoax.
A rumor that the performer had died spread like wildfire on Twitter on Saturday.
“RIP Madonna” became a trending topic, only further fueling speculation.
It is 100% false.
Madonna is alive and well.
The horrible rumor appears to have started as a prank, timed only moments before the actual funeral of Whitney Houston.
It’s a cruel, stupid and unfunny “report” to spread at any time – but especially when people are mourning and grieving.
