Lady Gaga will launch her Born This Way Foundation at Harvard University on Wednesday.
The new organization, co-founded by the pop superstar’s mother Cynthia Germanotta, intends to “foster a more accepting society, where differences are embraced and individuality is celebrated.”
“Together we hope to establish a standard of bravery and kindness, as well as a community worldwide that protects and nurtures others in the face of bullying and abandonment,” said Gaga in a statement when the effort was originally announced.
A number of high-profile advocates are expected to be on hand for the event.
