“Britney Spears Wants On Smash!!!” announces Perez Hilton, borrowing a tabloid report that claims the pop star has her heart set on joining NBC’s show about a Broadway musical.
The less-than-reliable blogger cites “some very eager sources” who allege that Spears is such a fan of the series, she’s “met with the producers” about securing a role.
“Gurl has gumption!!” declares Hilton.
And he has… no idea what he’s talking about.
Spears is NOT in talks to join “Smash.”
A source involved with the production tells Gossip Cop the story is “not correct.”
