Tim Gunn announced that he hasn’t had sex in nearly three decades during Tuesday’s episode of “The Revolution,” which he co-hosts on ABC.
The style guru and “Project Runway” personality made the revelation during a panel discussion on “jumpstarting your sexy.”
“I haven’t had sex in 29 years,” said Gunn. “Do I feel like less of a person for it? No! Not even remotely.”
He explained that the reason is “largely psychological.”
Gunn said that his last sexual partner was “impatient” with his performance, also explaining that it happened “at the cusp of AIDS,” when a lot of people “retreated” from sexual activities over health concerns.
It was a very personal – and somewhat emotional – moment for Gunn, who seemed comfortable discussing his long-term celibacy.
