Jay-Z’s 40/40 club in New York was shut down for health code violations after inspectors uncovered a number of major problems just one day after the venue reopened.

The city’s Health Department gave the club 69 violation points following a Thursday inspection that discovered inadequate refrigeration, mishandling of food, and a host of other issues.

A restaurant gets a “C” grade when it hits a score of 28 or higher.

One worker was spotted mixing salsa with his bare hands, and raw, perishable food was found at temperatures far higher than permitted by officials.

The violations were first reported by the New York Post.

There’s some dispute over whether 40/40 is actually shuttered – the Health Department’s website lists it as “closed,” but club personnel insist it was open again by Friday night after no disruption of business.

Earlier this week, Jay-Z and a number of high-profile revelers relaunched 40/40 after a pricey renovation.
